About Us
How We Help
Sarasota K9 Search & Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, non-government organization comprised of highly trained, highly motivated, nationally certified volunteers and K9s.
Our mission is to strengthen and assist local, state and national first responders with a professional, well-organized and well-trained team of handlers and K9s
to ensure the safest and most positive outcome of each deployment.
Our Training
It takes a lot of time and discipline to train Search and Rescue (SAR) canines to be accountable, trustworthy and maintain their resolve for any mission. Each volunteer canine handler personally spends thousands of dollars each year on canine care, training, equipment and fuel to travel to/from training & searches.
